The ‘Call for Entries’ has now opened (5 March) for The Wood Awards 2013.
The timber industry’s flagship competition which aims to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation in wood.
Since its re-launch in 2003, The Wood Awards has become recognised for celebrating the best in British architecture, furniture and design. Last year’s winners included David Morley Architects’ Hurlingham Club Outdoor Pool and Rupert McBain’s future antique Extending Oak Table, which both scooped Gold.
Wood For Good is a principal sponsor of the awards, alongside other major supporters in the timber industry including American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), American Softwoods, Canada Wood, the Carpenters’ Company and TRADA.
Timber buildings and furniture completed in the last two years are eligible for entry.
