Aarhus Guemligen

A 50-unit residential care home for the severely disabled, built to Passivhaus standard.

About this project

The Aarhus Foundation is building a new unit for 50 severely disabled residents to Minergie-P-Standard, a Swiss equivalent to Passivhaus standard.

Timber construction was chosen for this new 5-storey building for the living confort it provides to residents and staff as well as for its competitive design advantages.

The compact shape of the building and identical floor layouts allow for maximum cost and build efficiency.
